Background to denmarkwa web sites

Back in 1995 we had discussions, with the DTB manager of the time, about the need for a web site specifically for intending and potential visitors. Other projects and issues interrupted any progress on the matter for years. But the gap remained as it was regularly pushed to the bottom of the pile.

In 1999, after some consideration of the continuing lack of a website for vistors to Denmark, we decided to produce one. At that time the local .net.au site had become subsumed by WestNet.

The matter was discussed with the Manager of the DTB and later by the Committee who declined to be involved. So we went ahead alone.

We have continued to maintain the site and added two other domains. The second acquisition was the denmarkwa.info domain which was established as a community information site. denmarkwa.info gif - 30Kb

denmarkwa.biz png - 18Kb More recently the denmarkwa.biz site was added to cater for commercial entities to have a presence particularly if they did not want the cost of maintaining their own domain.

Tourism related businesses are invited to contact us for a web page, or a link to your existing page in the appropriate section of denmarkwa.com.au There is a modest charge for these services.

Community groups are invited to discuss a web page/site for their organisation. The layout, text and images to be included and placement of the finished page/site is negotiable. There is no charge for this service and all 'not for profit' organisations are invited to contact us to take up the offer.

Commercial enterprises are invited to contact us if they would like a web page/site hosted on the denmarkwa.biz domain. We can discuss the nature of the presence you require as well as the budget available.

A digital camera can be used to take a selection of images for inclusion on the web with your information. For community groups there will be no charge A modest fee can be negotiated with other interested parties.

An email address with any of the three domains may also be arranged. This will be 'at cost' with the Internet Service Provider.
