
With the newly completed Stirling Range Caravan Park available, Eva offered her sons' (Gary and Richard) facilities as a base, so organisation began.
In April 1983 the first weekend Stirling Range Fibre Weekend was held and has continued annually until today.
Over the years people attending have demonstrated, and participated in practising, a wide range of skills utilising fibres.
Papermaking, basketry, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, spinning (wide range of wheels and drop spindles), feltmaking, weaving (free form, table looms, inkle looms, small floor looms, card), dyes (natural, chemical and various processes - solar etc), three dimensional weaving, creative sewing, wall hangings (group and individual), screening, silk screen painting and transfer, painting on silk, dyeing using various processes (indigo, batik, shibori, pebbles, tied etc)
