Western Australian Wildflowers

There are thousands of different wildflowers in WA and it has been referred to as the 'Wildflower State'.

Here are some pages of small images of favourites of mine. (some favourites from other states have slipped in) If you click on the flower you like it will take you to a 1280x960 version (Some are now 1600x1200 - they have an * next to the name) that can be used as a screen backdrop or pinboard. These have been reduced from the originals to make them fit the screen and to make the file size small enough to download on poorer and slower connections.
The images were taken on a Sony DSC-F717 camera (mostly using the closeup facility) The originals were not the maximum 5m pixels of the camera but 3m pixels. These were saved as JPEG's of around 1.5Mb each. Using !FSI_Batch by Jochen Lueg (a front end to process batches of images using !ChangeFSI) images were reduced to 1280x960 or 1600x1200. Processing was done on an 600Mhz X-Scale powered Iyonix PC with 256Mb RAM

Check out my 'Images of Denmark - Western Australia' site

This contains a collection of scenic images taken around Denmark.

These small images below link to pages with sets of sixteen photographs.

Not all may be active - they are there to allow the site to expand.
